Weekend on Kopaonik: cool air, forests and mountain vistas

We're escaping the city's stifling heat to a place that's 8–10 °C cooler during the day, where bilberries are ripening in the woods. Kopaonik in August is green and berry-filled. 🌿

• We'll take the cable car up to the highest point of the region, Pančićev Vrh (almost 2000 m). From above, if visibility is good, we'll see Kosovo and Metohija, Prokletije (the Accursed Mountains), Stara Planina (the Balkan Mountains) and even Rtanj.
• After lunch we'll walk to a three-meter cold geyser, observe how nature changes with elevation, and enter a beech forest.
• In the evening, relaxed get-togethers with wine, beer or tea—whatever you prefer.
• Level: easy — no rushing and no exhausting treks.
