The Picture That Sings
Description
Children's Workshop: The Picture That Sings
29 August, 1:00 PM – 2:00 PM
Can paintings have their own sound? In this workshop, children will discover how colors, shapes and movements in Nadežda's paintings can be transformed into rhythm and music. Through observation, conversation and sound play, participants will explore the atmosphere of Nadežda's paintings and then, with the help of instruments and imagination, create their own sound pictures.
This music-and-visual-arts adventure will be led by museum education advisor MA Ivana Janković and MA ethnomusicologist Aleksandra Pradal, a long-time collaborator of the National Museum of Serbia. The workshop for children aged 7 to 10 will take place on Saturday, 29 August at 1:00 PM at the Memorial Museum of Nadežda and Rastko Petrović. Registration is required via email: [email protected]
