About the event

On 23 August at 2:00 PM we invite you to a party where we'll dance to jazz — but not the kind you're used to. Instead of American swing, we'll explore the jazz world of Eastern Europe: Serbian, Russian, Yugoslav and other Slavic melodies, Soviet songs, and unexpected swing versions of familiar hits.

Music

Mina and Anastasia will be providing the music that day.

Mina

Mina has assembled familiar motifs, surprising finds, and lots of music that will make it impossible to sit still.

Anastasia

Anastasia will take us on a journey through the history of jazz in the USSR and Russia — from traditional Russian melodies and well-known Soviet songs to swing covers of Russian hits.

What to expect

Expect a true Slavic jazz mix — a bit of unexpected history, some musical discoveries, and lots of dancing!
